Thwackit

The Thwackit is a modified version of the Hogshead and differs in that it has an angled face. The angled face is preferred by some anglers but it does mean that a little more care and attention is required with the rigging and positioning of this lure to make sure it performs to its best. It can be used in all but very rough sea conditions.

The large size Thwackit is best run on the short corner, long corner or short rigger. The medium and small sizes can be run in any position.

The large size is primarily a Marlin lure but the medium and small sizes are excellent for all game fish species including Blue, Black and Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Dorado, Wahoo and all Tuna species. Just pick the size to match the bait and target species.

The angled face gives the Thwackit a more aggressive surface attack then the Hogshead, kicking up lots of spray and surface commotion.
